1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Necho Neural Labs ("Necho," "we," "us"). By using the Necho platform — including the sign language interpreter, blog, and all associated tools — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Necho provides an AI-powered real-time sign language interpretation platform that uses computer vision and neural network technology to translate sign language gestures — including ASL and 40+ regional dialects — into spoken or written text.

Additional services include:

• A blog platform for publishing research and insights on sign language AI and accessibility
• Multi-language interface translation via Google Translate integration
• Accessibility customization tools (grayscale, high contrast, reduced motion, spacing adjustments)

3. Important Disclaimer — AI Limitations

Necho makes no warranty that the AI interpretation will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any specific professional purpose. Interpretation accuracy varies based on lighting conditions, camera quality, signing speed, and dialect variation.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may create an account by providing a name and email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Necho platform only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Transmit or publish content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract content or data from the platform
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Use the platform to collect or harvest personal information about other users

6. User-Generated Content

If you publish blog posts or other content through the Necho platform, you retain ownership of that content. By publishing content, you grant Necho a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the platform.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of content you publish. Necho reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property on the Necho platform — including but not limited to the Necho name, logo, neural network models, software, design, and written content — is owned by or licensed to Necho Neural Labs and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any Necho intellectual property without our prior written consent.

8. Camera and Data

The Necho Interpreter requires camera access. By granting camera permission, you acknowledge that:

• All video processing occurs locally on your device and is not recorded or transmitted
• You have the right to use the camera in your current location
• You will not use the interpreter to capture footage of others without their consent

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Necho Neural Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of — or inability to use — the platform or its services.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts paid by you to Necho in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) £100 (or equivalent local currency).

10. Third-Party Services

The Necho platform integrates third-party services such as Google Translate. Your use of these integrated services is subject to the respective third parties' terms and privacy policies. Necho is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

You may terminate your use of the platform at any time by ceasing to access it and clearing your browser's local storage.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
